ABOUT US

         Once upon a time there was a little shop called RI-TAH-RAE which has been started to create “distinctive” clothing for children.

         Later in the following year they started to produce costumes for Halloween and put them in the stock because they had over demand in the first year of the opening.

         At present, their costumes are not restricted to only for Halloween, but also expanded to the area where their customers can use all year round. Those costumes are the characters in the children’s favorite fairy tales, all kinds of animals and the costumes of what the children’s dreamt to be when they grow up.

         They started to be talked about among those who use costumes a lot such as preschoolers or international schoolers all around the metropolitan area. Words of mouth help RI-TAH-RAE has the opportunity to produce costumes in many special school occasions such as costumes for Greek, Tudor, Egyptian, Viking period or even the nationality dresses for many nations such as Japan, Netherlands, Indonesia,India, etc.

         For Traditional Thai Costumes, starting from the fisherman pants (Chow Lei) which has been very popular for its comfort wearing, they have increased more styles to cover all occasions such as Loy Kra Tong, Songkran (water festival) and all other Thai holidays. Also to serve policy of many Thai schools in giving the children chance to wear traditional Thai costumes to school once every week. And of course comfort is definitely the most important thing they’ve always considered.

         From the year they have started their shop up until today, RI-TAH-RAE has been done a lot of progress with many opportunities to be costume producer for the school plays such as Christmas plays, The Wizard of Oz and many more!

         Once upon a time….our story began in a little shop named after a three-year-old girl who is now 14! Like they say, time flies when you have fun……

         …….but something has never changed over the years at our little shop, RI-TAH-RAE. It is the never-tiresome excited looks on the children’s faces when they first see themselves in the mirror wearing our costumes and the parents’ satisfactorily smiles that remains our endless inspiration and what will continue to keep those in our little shop working hard and happily…….. ever after.  

เรื่องเล่า

กาลครั้งหนึ่งนานมาแล้วยังมีร้านเล็กๆชื่อ RI-TAH-RAE (ริ-ตา-เร) เร่ิมทำการตัดเย็บเสื้อผ้าแปลกๆสำหรับเทศกาลต่างๆสำหรับเด็ก…….

หนึ่งปีผ่านไปร้านเล็กๆแห่งนี้ต้องเร่งผลิตชุดต่างๆสำหรับเทศกาลฮาโลวีนเพื่อให้เพียงพอกับความต้องการของเด็กๆที่ต้องผิดหวังไปในปีก่อนหน้านั้น เพราะทางร้านไม่สามารถตัดเย็บให้ได้ทัน…..

ในปีต่อๆมา RI-TAH-RAE ไม่เพียงแต่จะตัดแต่เฉพาะเสื้อผ้าที่ใช้ในเทศกาลฮาโลวีนเท่านั้น หากแต่ยังได้เร่งตัดชุดแฟนซีอื่นๆขึ้นอีกมากมายเพื่อให้เด็กๆได้ใส่กันในทุกโอกาสตลอดทั้งปี ไม่ว่าจะเป็น ชุดในเทพนิยาย  ชุดสัตว์น่ารัก หรือ ชุดอาชีพ ที่เด็กๆใฝ่ฝันว่าอยากจะเป็นเมื่อโตขึ้น

ข่าวแพร่สะพัดไปในหมู่เด็กๆ คุณพ่อคุณแม่ และแม้กระทั่งคุณครูจากโรงเรียนหนึ่งไปยังอีกโรงเรียนหนึ่งเรื่อยไปจนทั่ว ทุกคนพากันมาหาซื้อและสั่งตัดชุดไว้ใส่เมื่อทางโรงเรียนมีสอนเกี่ยวกับอารยธรรมโบราณเช่น ทูดอร์ อียิปต์กรีก ไวกิ้งหรือแม้แต่ ชุดประจำชาติต่างๆ

สำหรับ ชุดประจำชาติไทย เริ่มตั้งแต่กางเกงชาวเลผ้าขาวม้าที่ใส่สบายสุดยอดมาจนกระทั่งถึงชุดไทยที่เด็กๆได้ใส่่ในเทศกาลไทยทั้งหลาย เป็นต้นว่า งานลอยกระทง สงกรานต์ หรือแม้กระทั่งใส่ทุกวันศุกร์ที่โรงเรียน แถมยังใส่สบายไม่คันเลยด้วย

นับตั้งแต่วันแรกมาจนบัดนี้  RI-TAH-RAE ได้เป็นที่รู้จักมากขึ้นและได้มีโอกาสตัดชุดให้กับเด็กๆทั้งคณะเพื่อแสดงละครบนเวทีหลายครั้งหลายครา เช่น ละครคริสตมาส ละครเรื่อง The Wizard of Oz และอื่นๆอีกมากมาย

จากกาลครั้งนัั้นที่เราเริ่มเรื่องในร้านตัดเสื้อผ้าเล็กๆที่ตั้งชื่อตามเด็กหญิงวัย 3 ขวบ ไม่น่าเชื่อเลยว่าบัดนี้ เธอมีอายุได้ 14 ขวบแล้ว……อย่างที่ใครคนหนึ่งเคยว่่าไว้ว่า เวลามักจะผ่านไปเร็วเหมือนติดปีก ถ้าหากเราได้ทำในสิ่งที่เราสนุกและมีความสุขกับมัน

แต่ไม่ว่าเวลาจะผ่านพ้นไปเร็วสักเพียงใด สิ่งที่ไม่เคยเปลี่ยนแปลงเลยที่ร้าน RI-TAH-RAE ก็คือภาพของเด็กๆคนแล้วคนเล่า ที่ตื่นเต้นยืนมองดูตัวเองในกระจกสวมใส่ชุดแฟนซีที่ตัวพอใจในขณะที่คุณพ่อคุณแม่ยืนอมยิ้มมองดูคุณลูกอยู่ข้างหลังอย่างพออกพอใจ

ภาพเหล่านั้น เป็นแรงบันดาลใจสำหรับพวกเราที่ร้าน RI-TAH-RAE ทุกคนมาตั้งแต่ต้น และจะยังคงเป็นแรงบันดาลใจให้เรามีกำลังใจทำงานอย่างไม่รู้จักเหน็ดจักเหนื่อยต่อไปอย่างมีความสุขตราบนานเท่านาน…….
